FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s the problem you face when picking a supplement to take: There is no real way to determine quality assurance. That’s why so many supplement have been found to contain “filler” ingredients – one even going so far as to include sawdust!

If you wondering how that could have happened, it’s because the FDA doesn’t regulate supplements. A little-known fact by the average American. So, lesser companies can get away with using subpar ingredients while charging a you premium price.

And, even if those other companies aren’t using “filler” ingredients, they often aren’t matching the amount of the correct, effective ingredients proven in scientific studies to get the results their customers are expecting. Or worse, you have to take mounds of pills to see little benefit.

Rest assured that you can select OptiChoice® product with confidence and comfort in knowing they are science-backed and proven safe and efficacious. Not only are all of our product formulated to match the science, we only use the highest quality ingredient and most of our products are patent protected or unique proprietary formulations.
Every single one of our products have clinical studies backing up their claims for the multiple health and wellness benefits they deliver.

All OptiChoice® products use the same patented ingredients and the same amount of critically important natural ingredients shown in human clinical studies to deliver the health benefits you are seeking.

Consumers are demanding higher levels of validated quality, purity, science and safety, and they deserve it. OptiChoice® products are superior in many ways and have the scientific evidence to support their claims and multiple differentiating features. Consider a couple of simple examples: It is clear to researchers, nutritionists and doctors alike know that Coenzyme Q10 is poorly absorbed. This quite simply means that of the 100 mg capsule you put in your mouth, only a small fraction will be absorbed into your bloodstream and reach the parts of the body where it is needed most.

CoQsource® VESIsorb® Coenzme Q10

vs. Regular Coenzme Q10 Capsules

Further, by using a soft gel with the Coenzyme Q10 mixed with an oil improves absorption only marginally. “Solubilizing” or in laymen’s terms dissolving the CoQ10 in a combination of oils helps a little more, but still not nearly enough.

Squeeze the coenzyme Q10 in the capsule you currently use into a glass of warm water (body temperature). Does it easily dissolve in the water? Stir it. Doesn’t help, does it? That is a big part of why it is NOT absorbed into your blood.

Seeing Is Believing

Beware of companies that suggest their CoQ10 product is formulated for “improved absorption” or “maximum absorption”. There are less than a handful of sophisticated, patented, clinically validated delivery systems for improving coenzyme Q10 absorption, and VESIsorb® is the most patent protected and advanced technology available.

Don’t be fooled by false and unsubstantiated claims about absorption and bioavailability.

You can sort out for yourself whether or not a product’s absorption and bioavailability claims. Just ask these simple questions:

  • Is it the product’s formulation or delivery system patented?
  • Do they describe how and why it is superior?
  • If they cannot tell you why it works better, then you can assume it probably doesn’t.
  • Did they test it in a clinical study and measure blood levels, peak absorption, and bioavailability?
  • Who are they trying to fool?
  • If someone boasts they can run 100 meters faster than anyone you would ask “what is your time?” People with real absorption results, have real absorption and bioavailability data.
  • Tell your doctor you are taking a superior absorption coenzyme Q10 and he/she will ask “is there a peer reviewed and published study to support the product’s claim?”
  • If this is what your doctor asks, shouldn’t you ask the same question?
  • If they don’t offer the study results we both know it is because they don’t have study results.
  • Are there differences in absorption, bioavailability, purity, and reliability of Omega-3 fish oil, virgin red palm oil, QH Ubiquinol, krill oil, and other popular natural products?
  • There are very significant and important differences between the various natural products offered. It is very confusing and sadly, making the wrong choice can be hazardous to your health.

Clinical Study

In our study “Relative bioavailability comparison of different Coenzyme Q10 formulations with novel self-assembling association colloid delivery system”; (published in Alternative Therapies in Health & Medicine 15(2) 2009, 42-49) CoQsource® was not compared to crystal CoQ10 powder. Three “bio-enhanced” formulas were selected, an oily suspension and two solubilizates.

A pharmacokinetic study (single oral dose, crossover) in humans comparing VESIsorb® CoQsource® to the same standard Coenzyme Q10 in different formulation demonstrated an increase of absorption in peak blood levels. The relative bioavialiability of a single oral dose of 120mg of CoQ10 was asserted using the AUC. The results showed 622% higher bioavialiability than the oil-based formula and 499% higher bioavialiability than the solubilizate.

Your doctor knows that the capsules you take to support heart health, give you energy, boost your sexual drive, support brain health, and make your joints feel better, etc. cannot meet your expectations if they are not properly absorbed by your body.

It is disappointing to realize that products you may have tried and spent your hard earned money on in the past were destined to fail because they were not as biologically active as they should have been. They also often the lack the necessary potency of the bio-active researchers found beneficial in successful human clinical studies.

Your doctor knows that when taking a prescription drug or supplement, absorption is significantly impacted by your current health and overall state of wellness.

If you are sick, your body doesn’t perform well. The older you get the more difficult it is for your body to absorb nutrients.

There is variation between men and women, and even between races.
Your doctor also knows that as you age your natural production of natural hormones and enzymes like testosterone and coenzyme Q10 declines.

So, it is very important that the supplements you take are properly formulated for optimal absorption whether you are 30 years old, 60 years old, and especially if you are even older.

The cost is another reason.

None of us can afford, or want, to buy medicine or supplements that are not absorbed.

Think of how you would react if you went to the pharmacist to get your monthly prescription filled and they said “you can have 60 capsules of your blood pressure medicine for $25.00 a bottle or 60 capsules of this better absorbed blood pressure medicine for $30.00 per bottle.

However, you will need to buy 6 bottles of the cheaper product to equal 1 bottle of the better absorbed medicine.” You would quickly do the math and conclude that equates to 6 bottles per month = $150.00 versus 1 bottle per month that is optimally absorbed = $30.00!!!

The choice is easy.

What’s even worse is that you may be required to take 12 capsules versus 2 capsules per day.

Does this remind you of the Aleve vs. Tylenol for back pain relief ads and commercials you’ve been seeing?

Now you are getting the picture.
